Hit 50 pounds total weight loss yesterday, beginning my journey in October 2017. Not looking for praise, I’m just documenting the occasion. I’m still amazed I pulled this off. 🏃

It was a long day. Capped it off with a three mile run, a weigh-in of 206 pounds making for a 50 pound total loss since October, and some vegan buffalo wings with IPA. I’m going to bed, now.

Busy day yesterday. Walked 4.2 miles during the day at work alone, went non-stop for seven hours, and then ran three miles at home. Meetings in the evening. Bed at 9:00pm. Now it's 3:30am. I'm hungry, tired, and get to hustle again today. I'm ready for a couple of days off. 😴

The worst thing about the weekends for me at this point is not getting enough excercise. I do a bit more cardio than I normally do during the week, but it isn’t enough to compensate for the calories I burn during the day at work. I always gain some weight over the weekend.

I know I talk about running and weight loss a lot lately, and I know how that can be annoying to a lot of people, but I’m so excited about my progress. Goal was to lose 50 pounds by February, and I’m hovering at 45, lowest at 48. I’m just so proud of myself.

Today’s run didn’t go too well. Ran two miles and just wasn’t feeling it after that. Walked for another 25 minutes after that. Got my excercise for the day, but my body was definitely ready to end this busy week.

I'm going to try to do another 4 mile run today. Yesterday's run went surprisingly well, and I think I'm up for it again. Thought for sure that my legs would be shot today, but they're just fine. A little freaky. 🏃

I went for a run today. I run everyday, usually on the treadmill, but decided to run outside since it was cloudy and cool (71°F) outside. It was one of my best runs since I started in October. 🏃

I’ve come to the conclusion that third party fitness apps for Apple Watch just aren’t as accurate as the stock activity trackers from Apple. Strava said I burned 900 calories during my 4mi run. That’s just not accurate. 🏃‍♂️

This is weird. Micro.blog, that is. Weird in a way that makes me feel like I used to feel when signing up for a new social media platform, specifically Twitter.

I didn’t know anyone on Twitter when I signed up back in 2008. I had to force myself to interact with people that I just decided to follow out of the blue or for whatever random reason.

Anyway, this feels like that. Hoping to see more friends here soon.
